Marcus Aurelius wrote in Meditations, βThe impediment to action advances action. What stands in the way becomes the way.β This is not a call to glorify pain for its own sake, but rather an invitation to see obstacles as opportunities. If suffering is inevitable, the question is not how do I escape it? but what will I make of it?
